KILIMO BaNDO was officially launched on 11 February 2026 in Dodoma under the AGRA Youth Entrepreneurship for the Future of Food and Agriculture (YEFFA) framework marking a significant step toward accelerating digital pathways to youth employment in agriculture.

The platform embeds young people into structured market systems, transforming digital participation into sustainable and bankable income opportunities across the agricultural value chain.

The launch was led by Vianney Rweyendela, Country Director at AGRA Tanzania; Maregendela Shabaan, Head of Agribusiness at CRDB Bank; and Violet Kazimoto, Head of ICT at the Ministry of Agriculture.

Their leadership underscored the convergence of the YEFFA initiative with the Government’s Building a Better Tomorrow (BBT) agenda leveraging digital infrastructure to connect youth, farmers, agrodealers and financial services into one integrated ecosystem.

Through CRDB Bank’s Agrifocus approach, transaction data generated on KILIMO BaNDO becomes a gateway to access finance enabling youth-led agribusinesses to transition from informal operations into structured, bankable enterprises.

KILIMO BaNDO is not just a digital platform; it is infrastructure for youth jobs, inclusive markets, and long-term agricultural transformation.
