IMPLEMENTATIONS

3. Tanzania’s Practical Response

In Tanzania, EUDR readiness has already moved from discussion into field execution.

Bizy Tech is implementing structured digital coffee farm registration in collaboration with Tanzania Coffee Board and AETS, with support from European Union under the KilimoSoko | Mazingira Project.

Implementation activities were carried out in:

  • Kagera Region

  • Songwe Region

The initiative included:

  • 748 trained registrars deployed

  • Digital farmer and farm registration tools

  • GPS point and polygon mapping

  • Verification workflows for quality control

  • Field support teams for continuous monitoring

This transformed field-level information into organized, compliance-ready data systems.

4. Building Traceability: Registration + Verification

Farmer & Farm Registration

Field teams captured:

  • Farmer identity details

  • Farm coordinates

  • Cooperative / AMCOS affiliation

  • Farm size and production details

  • Supporting images and records

Each registered farm became part of a structured traceability registry.

Verification: Turning Data into Evidence

Collected records then passed through:

  • Phone confirmation

  • Data consistency checks

  • Duplicate screening

  • Field verification visits where required

Records were categorized as:

  • Pending

  • Repeat

  • Approved

  • Rejected

📊 81.5% of farms were approved

This demonstrates that strong compliance outcomes are achievable when systems are structured and verification is consistent.
